New Riff offers a robust Single Barrel Program where you will get to personally select your own one-of-a-kind barrel. Selections are bottled at barrel proof without chill filtration, allowing all the characteristics of the barrel to shine through. No two barrels are the same, each creating their own story.

At New Riff we pride ourselves in creating an educational and engaging Barrel Selection experience every bit as singular as the barrel you are about to pick. If you purchase a Single Barrel bourbon or rye you have the option, at no additional charge, of selecting your barrel in our turn-of-the-century tasting room located among the thousands of aging barrels at our West Newport Campus.

Our Single Barrel Ambassador will lead you on a thorough and exciting experience starting with a tour of our Distillery, Rickhouse, Bottling Hall, and entire warehouse campus. From there our hand-selected Single Barrels await your consideration. 
Once in our beautiful, historic tasting room, which dates back to 1903, we’ll discuss Bourbon tasting techniques before conducting your own sensory evaluation of your chosen barrels. Swirl! Nose! Taste! Lightly dilute! Nose! Taste! Debate! Ponder! Select your very own Single Barrel – cheers!
Our Single Barrel team will be with you every step of the way, from booking a selection date, to guiding your tasting, to getting the bottles safely into your hands. Whether you’re new to whiskey, or a seasoned pro, we’ll ensure your experience is as special as the whiskey itself. Here’s a quick overview of our Single Barrel Selection Experience!

(01) BARREL RESERVATION

Customize your selection size beginning at 15 cases (90 bottles) up to a full barrel (approx. 198 bottles) and anywhere in between!

*Customizable options available for Private and On-Premise Trade customers only.

(02) IMMERSIVE PRIVATE TOUR

Take a private tour of our rickhouse, bottling hall, and warehouse campus.

(03) TASTING ​

Our Single Barrel ambassador will guide you through your own sensory evaluation in our historic tasting room.

(04) SELECTION​

Select your barrel and leave with a 100ml sample right from your barrel, your Glencairn glass, your tasting notebook, and lots of education and visuals to tide you over while we bottle your very own Single Barrel!

(05) CUSTOMIZATION​

We offer side label and
bottle etching customization to make it uniquely yours!

(06) ENJOY!​

Pick-up your customized bottle 30 days after your selection at our warehouse.
