Host a Whiskey Tasting at Home
Hosting a whiskey tasting at home creates space for connection, conversation, and discovery. With a few thoughtful pours and the right setup, you can turn an ordinary night into something worth savoring together.
- Spirits, of course: Choose three to four whiskeys that offer different styles, proofs, or mashbills to explore how ingredients, aging, and barrel influence shape each pour.
- Glassware: a Glencairn or another glass that narrows slightly at the top. This shape helps concentrate the aromas and enhance the tasting experience.
- Palate Cleanser: Keep some plain oyster crackers on hand to reset your palate between pours.
- Water Dropper: A few drops of water can open up additional aromas and flavors in your whiskey.
