The Aquifer Tasting Bar is located inside New Riff Distilling. We offer cocktails, samples, flights, neat and rocks pours of our award winning spirits. Open Tuesday - Saturday from 11am to 7pm, and Sunday from 11 am - 4pm.

NEW FASHIONED

  • 2oz New Riff Bourbon
  • 1/2oz Demerara simple syrup, recipe follows 
  • 2 Dashes of orange bitters

*Directions: Add New Riff Bourbon, Demerara, bitters and ice into a mixing glass. Stir, then strain into a rocks glass with ice. Garnish with an orange peel and a Luxardo cherry. 

Demerara simple syrup: 

  • 1/2 cup sugar in the raw
  • 1/2 cup water

Mix ingredients into sauce pan. Bring to boil, reduce to simmer for 1 minute. Take off the heat and cool. 

BBA GIN MARTINI

  • 2oz New Riff Kentucky Wild Gin Bourbon Barreled
  • 1oz Contratto Dry Vermmouth
  • 2 Dashes of Angostura bitters

*Directions: Add BBA Gin, dry vermouth, bitters and ice to a mixing glass. Stir, then strain into a couple glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon. 

GIN + TONIC WITH SHRUB

  • 2oz New Riff Kentucky Wild Gin
  • 1/2oz Grapefruit Shrub
  • Top with Tonic

Garnish with rosemary and a lime wheel. 

PERFECT MANHATTAN

  • 2oz New Riff Rye Whiskey 
  • 2 Dashes of Bittercube Blackstrap bitters 
  • 1/2oz Cocchi Sweet Vermouth
  • 1/2oz Contratto Dry Vermouth

*Directions: Add Rye, bitters, vermouth and ice into a mixing glass. Stir, then strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with three Luxardo cherries on a pick. 

GINGER BEER MULE

  • 3/4oz New Riff Bourbon 
  • 2 Dashes of Bittercube Blackstrap Bitters 
  • 1/2oz Ginger beer simple syrup

*Directions: Add bitters, Bourbon, ginger beer simple syrup and ice into a shaker tin. Shake, then strain into a rocks glass with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and fresh sprig of mint. 

STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER

  • 3/4oz New Riff Kentucky Wild Gin
  • 2 Dashes of Bittercube Grapefruit Bitters
  • 1/2oz Strawberry Rhubarb simple syrup

*Directions: Add Gin, bitters, strawberry rhubarb simple syrup and ice into a shaker tin. Shake, then strain into Nick and Nora glass with a slice of strawberry and a channel peel twirl of lime. 

MELLOW MY MAN (Zero proof)

  • 2oz Carrot juice
  • 1oz Beet simple syrup, recipe follows
  • 1/2oz Lime juice
  • Top with soda
  • Optional = 2oz New Riff Spirit

*Directions: Add carrot juice, beer simple syrup, lime juice, ice and optional spirit of choice to a cocktail shaker. Shake, then double-strain into a highball glass with ice. Top with soda and garnish with fresh berries on a skewer. 

Beet Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of beet juice
  • 1/2 cup of water

THE JOKER

  • 1 3/4oz New Riff Kentucky Wild Gin or Bourbon
  • 3/4oz Peach Purée
  • 3/4 Lime juice
  • Grapefruit bitters
  • Float Rhinegeist Peach Dodo to top

*Directions: Add peach purée, lime juice, bitters, spirit of choice and ice into a cocktail shaker. Shake, then double-strain into a highball glass with ice. Splash with Rhinegeist Peach Dodo and garnish with a gummy peach ring and lime disk. 

NIGHTS IN WHITE SATIN

  • 2oz New Riff Kentucky Wild Gin Bourbon Barreled 
  • 3/4oz Orgeat
  • 1/2oz Heavy cream 
  • 1/2oz Lemon juice
  • 1/2oz Lime juice
  • 1 Egg white
  • Club Soda

*Directions: Add orgeat, BBA Gin, heavy cream, lemon juice, lime juice and egg white to a cocktail shaker. Do a long shake of ingredients, then add ice and long shake again. Strain into a highball glass with ice and top with club soda. Garnish with zest of lemon and lime. 

HOUSE OF RISING SUN

  • 2oz New Riff Rye Whiskey 
  • 2 Pumps of Absinthe
  • 4 Dashes of Peychauds bitters
  • 1/2oz Lemon Tarragon Simple syrup, recipe follows

*Directions: Add Rye, Absinthe, bitters, lemon-tarragon simple syrup and ice into a mixing glass. Stir, then strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a torched lemon disc. 

Lemon Tarragon Simple: 

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • Peels of 2 lemons
  • 1 stalk tarragon

YOU SEXY THING

  • 2oz New Riff Bourbon 
  • 1 1/2oz Godiva Liqueur
  • 1/2oz Creme de Cacao 
  • 2oz Heavy Cream
  • 2 Dashes mint bitters

*Directions: Add Godiva Liqueu, Creme de Cacao, heavy cream, Bourbon and ice into a cocktail shaker. Shake, then strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with fresh mint and grated chocolate. 

BOULEVADIER OF BROKEN DREAMS

  • 2oz of New Riff Bourbon or Rye Whiskey 
  • Orange bitters
  • 1oz Cocchi Sweet Vermouth
  • 1oz Campari

*Directions: Add orange bitters, Bourbon or Rye, vermouth, Campari and ice into a mixing glass. Stir, then strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a dried blood orange disc.
